The Whole Dog Investigation

Behaviour makes more sense when we understand their mind and body

When your dog’s behaviour suddenly changes…

The Whole Dog behaviour & Wellbeing Programme may be right for you if you find yourself thinking…

  • “We’ve tried everything, but nothing is really fixing the problem”

  • “I feel like I’m letting my dog down because I don’t know what else to try.”

  • “My dog is suddenly more reactive / grumpy / sensitive than they used to be.”

  • “I feel like I’m missing something, but I don’t know what”

  • “I sometimes wonder if my dog might be uncomfortable, but I don’t know how to tell.”

When things feel confusing, inconsistent, or like you’re only seeing part of the picture, that’s when a whole-dog approach becomes important.

What makes this programme different?

Many dog behaviour services focus on training plans, routines, and practical exercises, and those can be very helpful.

This programme takes a broader view.

Alongside behaviour, we look at your dog’s physical comfort, movement, daily lifestyle, and emotional load, so we can better understand why certain behaviours may be happening, not just how to manage them.

That means we:

✔ Explore possible links between behaviour and physical wellbeing
✔ Look at patterns over time, not just single incidents
✔ Consider your dog’s environment, routines, and stress levels
✔ Build a plan that supports both emotional and physical comfort
✔ Provide ongoing guidance as things change and develop

Because when we understand the whole dog, we can make more confident, compassionate decisions about how to help them.

You’ve got a niggling feeling that your dog needs a closer look

Tracey is incredible. She has been integral to getting the help my girl needed to be pain free and living a very happy life. I would not hesitate to take any of my dogs to see her.

A personalised process with support at every step

Step 1 – Understanding you and your dog’s life right now

You complete a short history form and send in any videos of your dog you’d like me to see. You’ll have a Google folder dedicated to your dog where we can both upload documents and videos, so we can refer back if necessary.

Step 2 – Your dog’s priority focus (90 mins)

We meet on Zoom and talk through your dog’s behaviour, routines, sensitivities, and history. Then we can choose to focus on what feels most for you urgent right now.

Step 3 – Specialist wellbeing review

With guidance from me, you take simple movement and posture videos which I analyse for patterns that may reflect physical or emotional discomfort. From this we can develop your dog’s comfort profile which you can share with your vet. If needed, I’ll help you articulate observations in a way your vet can easily work with

Step 4 – Designing your dog’s support plan

We develop your dog’s support plan using visual/video examples, written checklists, or an overall picture followed by a day-to-day plan, depending on what’s most appropriate for you and your dog.

Step 5 – Guided support

Over the next few weeks, we have 4 follow-up sessions to refine the plan, review progress, and support both you and your dog as things change.

Step 6 – Final review & next steps

We look at how far your dog has come and create a realistic long-term plan built around you, your dog, your home and your goals, so you feel confident moving forward.

You’ll be fully supported with WhatsApp and email support between sessions.

The Whole Dog Investigation Programme is a comprehensive online 12-week specialist service.

This service combines behavioural assessment, a specialist movement and posture review, a personalised support plan, and guided follow-up as things change.

Investment – £695

Payment plans are available across the 12 weeks – please get in touch if that would help.

Because this is a deeply personalised programme, I work with a small number of people at a time to ensure each dog and owner receives the attention they deserve.

What you’ll walk away with

By the end of the programme, you’ll have:

✔ A clear picture of what is influencing your dog’s behaviour

✔ A personalised plan you can use, tailored to your dog, your home, and your day-to-day life

✔ Practical changes you can start straight away to help your dog feel more comfortable and better able to cope

✔ Greater confidence in understanding your dog’s signals, so you’re more able to support them

✔ Guidance on what to monitor and how to describe it, so you can have more informed, constructive conversations with your vet if needed

✔ Ongoing support while you put things into practice, so you’re not left wondering if you’re doing it “right”

Most importantly, you’ll move from feeling stuck to having a clearer sense of what’s going on and what to do next.

If you’re not sure whether this service is for you, please use the contact form below, or email me at hello@shapingdogs.com, to tell me a little about your dog. I’ll let you know honestly whether this programme is the right fit for you.

Support between sessions

You're not left to figure things out alone between sessions.

Between each of your live sessions, you'll have WhatsApp and email support for questions about implementing your dog's plan; I aim to respond within 2 working days.

This sits alongside Zoom calls to help you apply what we've covered, rather than as a separate open channel. If something new comes up that needs proper unpacking, that's what your next session is for

Online dog behaviour support

After the programme

By week 12 you'll have a realistic long-term plan built around your dog. For dogs whose progress is still developing, or where new priorities emerge, ongoing support is available beyond the programme, in whichever shape suits you.:

Single follow-up session – £85

  • A one-off top-up. Book when you need it to work through a specific new issue, reassess something that's changed, or simply check in after a few months. No ongoing commitment, no regular access in between.

Monthly check-in support – £120/month, cancel anytime

  • Ongoing, ready-when-you-need-it support for dogs and owners who want continuity rather than a single check-in. This includes:

  • A monthly Zoom call to review progress and adjust the plan as things develop

  • WhatsApp and email support between check-ins for questions on implementing the plan

  • Priority access if something comes up and you need to bring a session forward

  • This suits owners who know their dog's journey isn't finished at week 12, and would rather have steady, ongoing access than book support session by session.

Whichever you choose, this means you're never left wondering "what now" once the 12 weeks end. The choice of how much ongoing support you want is entirely yours.

About me

I’m Tracey, and I work with caring dog owners across the UK online who want to understand their dogs rather than just manage behaviour.

My approach is force-free and whole-dog focused. I’m especially interested in how physical comfort, movement, and daily life can influence behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

Through my work with Shaping Dogs and my background canine behaviour and wellness, I help owners connect the dots and move forward with confidence.
