Plain-English rewriting and clear design for veterinary practices

Owners are often given written information at the most stressful moments: an emergency admission, a new diagnosis, a costly treatment decision. Dense text is hard to take in at those times. Key points get missed, the same questions come back by phone, and misunderstandings about risks or costs can lead to difficult conversations later.

I rewrite and redesign client information sheets so the most important information is easy to find, easy to understand and hard to miss.

Plain English. I remove jargon and long sentences while keeping the clinical meaning accurate.
Logical structure. Information is ordered around the questions owners actually ask, with the most urgent points first.
Clear colour design. Icons, tables and colour coding help owners understand complex information quickly

I send you a draft. Drafts are written using my own plain-English protocol.
You send one set of combined comments, including clinical sign-off from a named vet at your practice.
I make the changes and send your final files, ready to print or share digitally.

For topics where you don’t yet have a sheet. I draft the content from your clinical guidance and protocols, then design it.

Sets of sheets

For three or more leaflets commissioned together, I offer a 15% discount on the standard two-page price. Using a shared design template across the set saves some setup and layout time, and I pass that saving on to you. Each leaflet still receives individual attention to its wording, structure and presentation. Additional pages are charged separately at the usual rate.
