Active Ageing

Supporting comfort, confidence and quality of life as your dog grows older

Growing older doesn't mean your dog has to stop enjoying life.

Many senior dogs continue to enjoy exploring, learning, playing and spending time with their families well into their later years. However, ageing bodies often need a little extra support.

Active Ageing is a one-to-one service designed to help older dogs stay comfortable, active and engaged through practical, personalised support.

Together, we'll look at ways to support your dog's mobility, strength, confidence and overall wellbeing so they can continue to enjoy life at their own pace.

Suitable for:

  • Senior dogs

  • Dogs showing signs of slowing down

  • Dogs recovering from periods of inactivity

  • Dogs who may benefit from gentle strengthening and mobility work

  • Owners who want to proactively support their dog's wellbeing as they age

  • Dogs living with age-related changes

Why choose Thrive Together?

At Shaping Dogs, we believe ageing is not simply about managing decline.

With the right support, many dogs can remain active, engaged and comfortable for longer.

Our focus is on helping dogs maintain the best possible quality of life through a combination of movement, wellbeing and practical support.

Older dogs can tire more quickly than younger dogs.

Sessions are carefully paced to allow plenty of time for observation, discussion, movement and rest, ensuring your dog remains comfortable and successful throughout.

Active Ageing is designed to complement your dog's veterinary care and provide practical support for everyday life.

The aim is simple: to help your dog remain as comfortable, confident and active as possible for as long as possible.
