Canine Circuits

Form. Flow. Function

Movement with purpose. Training with trust.

Canine Circuits is a new canine sport designed to build strength, balance, and body awareness through structured, judged fitness circuits. It’s for dogs who love to move — and owners who want to support their dog’s physical and mental wellbeing through purposeful, progressive training.

Rooted in the principles of Form, Flow, and Function, this sport rewards dogs for how well they move — not just how fast. Each exercise and circuit is designed to improve posture, coordination, and connection, with room for every dog to shine in their own way.

How it works

In weekly classes, you'll work on a variety of canine fitness exercises designed to improve your dog's movement, body awareness, and coordination.

These exercises range from:

  • Quick, dynamic movements like cavaletti, turns, and movement puzzles that build rhythm, timing, and limb awareness

  • To slower, controlled tasks like a balanced stand, pivot work, or position transitions that focus on posture, symmetry, and strength

Exercises may vary in:

  • Speed (fast vs slow)

  • Complexity (single movements vs multi-step transitions)

  • Surfaces or equipment used (flat ground, low platforms, textured surfaces)

  • Purpose (strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, or focus)

Each exercise is taught in a way that allows you to build confidence and technique gradually, so it’s suitable for both beginners and experienced dogs.

When you're ready, these individual exercises will be linked together to form a circuit — and you’ll have the option to take on the Canine Circuit Challenge, where you and your dog complete the sequence under judged conditions to earn a title or certificate. Individual structure of the dog and movement style are always taken into account.

There’s no pressure to compete — you can progress at your own pace and take part in the Challenge only if and when it feels right for you and your dog.

🏅 The Canine Circuit Challenge

The Canine Circuit Challenge is your dog’s opportunity to show off what they’ve learned. This judged event puts your dog through a tailored fitness circuit based on their current level — with feedback, scoring, and a certificate if they pass.

Each trial is based on:

  • Control & accuracy

  • Posture & alignment (relative to your dog’s own structure)

  • Flow between exercises

  • Teamwork and handler communication

No pressure. No rushing. Just great movement, clear progress, and a celebration of what your dog can do.

Challenge Entry (trial + rosette): £25
